Well…. It’s over
Another fantastic hockey year ends before you want it to. It usually does.
Game 6 of the second round of the playoffs we got bounced by the top team in our division.
The games are fun, and the people are amazing. My son said it was the best room he’s ever been in. That includes players & coaches. And everyone else behind the scenes.
I only have one rule for him on the year, he has to be “all in”. Every practice, every game, every school reading etc. if the boys want to go out to celebrate after, we’ll get a hotel room in town so he can. We spent many nights in a hotel, the team he played for was over 2 hours away.
17 nights in a hotel later & over 40,000 kms in the car, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Over too soon, sure, but amazing time together bonding over our favourite sport and our favourite athlete.
Thanks to so many of you that came out to watch. And thanks Rocky Rams, you’re a class act! That town loves their team and it was an honour to be part of it.
