When you graduated high school, was it at the very end of the school year, or was it like kids today that do it a month before the end of school?!
My son had his grad this week in 2 parts, the formal diploma ceremony that went down on Wednesday, then last night was the dinner and the dance. Can I tell you how grateful I am to see a little normalcy after two years. Let's be honest, this graduating class had a pretty tough tenure during high school. For a lot of it classes went online & sports were canceled. Thank God this year my boy played rugby, went in person (masked mostly) & had a regular grad. Something the past two years were unable to do. Not to mention a massive 30 person limo last night to usher them around for picture spots & the dance itself. It was an awesome week, and I'm proud of my boy & his buddies for soldiering through. So what's next?! My son is taking a gap year to play junior hockey, and after that has a great program at Mount Royal University that he has been accepted to called Eco Tourism & Leadership. Anything outdoors you can think of, is part of the curriculum: Back country hiking & camping, ice climbing, kayaking etc etc etc. Sounds like a blast!
