I've never been a round numbers guy. If someone asks what time I'll pick them up, I'll say ...."how about 5:23?!"... or, "be there in 18 minutes." Just my thing I guess, so when it came time to setting an alarm for the morning show, I was scrolling thru the alarm clock and it stopped @ 3:18. Seemed like a perfect number to stop on. I feel that even if I had a 9 to 5 job, I might still get up @ 7:13.
If you wake up late for a regular job, there might be many in the house that wake up at similar time that can get you up in time. When you do a morning show, it's you, the cab/uber drivers & bread delivery trucks on the road. Maybe the odd person making their way home from the bar. This is one of the reasons I never just set one alarm, but many. If you know what's good for your marriage, you typically get up on the first one. Although I find this difficult to explain, I rarely needed an alarm. I would routinely wake up at 3:13 or 3:17 before the alarm & shut it off. Talk about good for the marriage. lol
